The growth in the incidence of financing boat acquisition through French or Italian leasing is unquestionable and is something that nobody has failed to notice. This is due, largely, to the huge tax advantages this method offers (VAT savings, payment of registration tax in the bank’s name, etc) in addition to the financing options available when purchasing owing to the ability to postpone part of the payment.

This is creating a new culture among potential boat purchasing clients, some of whom would never have dreamed of asking for a loan to pay for their new boat just a few years ago. In other countries, this culture is already well established, and fortunately it is soon to be fully accepted across Spain too.
